One of Misselwitz’s most experimental films this short combines historical photographs, writings by Karl Marx and his wife as well as images of an abandoned East Berlin building to document the philosopher’s and proud flagship’s of the GDR life in poverty. Misselwitz always cares for true images, it’s not her mistake that a true image used to be a “wrong“ image. Thus, the film was released only five years after Marx’s 100th birthday.
